Aaron Rodgers arrived to training camp in Green Bay last week and all of Wisconsin sighs with relief… or do we? The MVP has been a Wisconsin icon for the Packers since traitor Brett Favre jetted off to New York. Packers fans have been loyal to Rodgers. Proud, even boastful to call the Hail Mary all-star our quarterback. That is until Aaron recently made it known that Green Bay was not his cup of Miller lite. That hurt and hurt deeply. With a team owned by the fans, you’re either all in or you’re out. It seems as if Aaron is more out than in. So how does Wisconsin navigate our relationship with wishy-washy Rodgers moving forward? Does Aaron have a history of breaking hearts?. Hmmmmm!
Meanwhile the Buccaneers have everybody’s all American boy Tom Brady in sunny Tampa Bay. Tom doesn’t make any waves. Unlike Rodgers, who after arriving in camp with a new contract and more money. Went directly to the podium and hashed out a litany of grievances with Green bay management. He mentioned he thought about retirement. But I guess that changed after the Packers decided to give him 10 million more for the year. He also mention that he “has some hard decision to make at the end of this season”. What do you think that means? I say more money.
Aaron Rodgers plays the lone wolf. The guy who leads but is apart from the rest of the pack. It is good copy. but it has only translated in one Super Bowl win. Meanwhile Tom Brady says all the right things. Whether in New England with the detested Bill Belichick. On in Tampa bay with the affable Bruce Arians. Tom has been to 10 Super Bowls and won 7 of them. Will the Buccaneers go through Green Bay again for the NFC championship, again. Breaking the wishful hoping hearts of Packer fans everywhere. Like he broke Danica Patrick’s? Gosh. I hope not. Only time will tell
