7 Sure-Bet Buccaneers for Fantasy Football

With the NFL season only a couple of days away, it is also time for America’s other favorite past-time; fantasy football. My draft is this week, and it got me thinking, “maybe I should write an article on who the top Bucs players are for the fantasy pools?”. The answer I got to that question was a hard yes, so here we go!

Tom Brady – QB Rank: #8

Do I really need to say more? It’s Tom Brady for crying out loud. If you have a chance to take him, TAKE HIM! Honestly, it depends what kind of a fantasy league you are in, but everyone needs a quarterback, so why not choose the G.O.A.T.

Ronald Jones II – RB Rank: #16

Jones is a great mid-tier pick for those pools with 10 or more attendees. Jones’ calm demeanor when running through defensive holes is what sets him apart from other young running backs. If you are in a league where running yards count for most of the points, then Jones is a solid pick for your lineup.

Mike Evans – WR Rank: #7

Coming in at the lucky number seven spot of the top fantasy projected wide-receivers is none other than our very own Mike Evans. Many fantasy leagues count catching yards points more than running yards. If you are in a pool like this then I highly suggest opting for Mike Evans.

It’s important to remember you will not be the only one after this beast of a player, but you should be able to snag him within the first round. Other wide-receivers with more “clouty” names such as Tyreek Hill and Juju Smith-Schuster will probably go first, but Evans is just as good, if not better, than them.

Mike Evans is always a solid pick

Rob Gronkowski- TE: Rank #7

Similar to Brady; just do it. If you have the opportunity to get Gronkowski on your team pulls the trigger. Obviously, there are a couple of better tight ends, when it comes to overall skills, but with Gronk, you are guaranteed at least 7-8 TDs.

Think about it, if both he and Brady are healthy, then the match made in heaven will find its way to the endzone.

Gronk is a beast

Jason Pierre-Paul – DL – Rank #1

Ranked at #1 when it comes to defensive linemen, Pierre-Paul is the premier option if you are in a pool where defensive players are active and count towards the point total. In my most recent article, I said how Pierre-Paul would explode and capture Defensive Player of the Year honors.

Not only that, I believe he will explode and help you win your fantasy pool; you just have to pick him!

Jason Pierre-Paul is slated for a prime season

Devin White – LB – Rank #1

The second straight Buccaneer to come in at the top spot, White can surely take you to the promise land known as “your league commissioner handing you the pot money from the pool”. You don’t even have to think about this pick.

Antoine Winfield.Jr – DB – Rank #30

Hey man, if you find yourself in a deep pool then I suppose choosing Winfield. Jr could be a decent pickup. To be honest, however, it seems like an unnecessary pick, seeing as how pools normally tally points and Winfield.Jr being ranked so low.

And that’s it, the seven Buccaneers who can make an impact in your fantasy playoff pools!
