Brady Goes Off; Bucs Crush Dolphins 45-17

Clapping. That is all I was able to do while watching the Tampa Bay Buccaneers take on the Miami Dolphins. Just the whole way through, I couldn’t help but smile and clap. How couldn’t I? I mean c’mon, did you see what happened yesterday afternoon. Now I know the Dolphins aren’t the strongest team (by a longshot) but they are an NFL team nonetheless.

First off, Tom Brady, I applaud you, sir! The 44-year-old was making it look easy as he dished and dimed the football to his offensive weapons. His performance was flawless, as it seemed that it was almost too easy for him.

Tom Brady the GOAT

Brady finished 30-41 on the day, posting an astounding 411 yards and a mind-numbing five touchdowns on the day. Five! Another neat stat, that proves just how lethal Tom Brady is, is that the Bucs have now scored 45 points five times in 21 games since Tom Brady joined the Bucs. The Bucs as a franchise have only scored five times in 44 seasons before Brady got there; crazy!

Another standout performance on Sunday afternoon came from Antonio Brown, who had his best game thus far this season. Playing against his hometown team must have ignited something in Brown, who finished the day with 124 passing yards and two touchdowns.

This was a performance the team badly needed after a sloppy win against New England the week before. The team had been struggling to light up the offensive fire against the Patriots, so this win against the lowly Dolphins might be just what the doctor ordered for this team.

I also have to give it up for our running game, which had an improved performance in this game, and we actually got to see Leonard Fournette and Ronald Jones II. Fournette seriously impressed me as it looked as if he had found his performances of old, as he was able to put up 67 yards on 12 carries and was able to register one touchdown. The defense played well, but we also have to remember that they were playing the Dolphins.

Overall it was an impressive and fun game to watch, especially if you are a Bucs fan. Their next game comes this upcoming Thursday against the lowly Chicago Bears. This should be an easy game for the Buccaneers, and I don’t see them having any trouble dismantling the Bears.
