It’s a beautiful day in Tampa Bay. The sun is shining intermittently and the temperature will eventually reach the 70’s. In reality, no matter where you are. Whether it is in Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, North America, or South America. If you are reading this, it is a BEAUTIFUL day or night
Your Reigning, Defending, Super Bowl champion Buccaneers, with a record of 6-2, are on a bye this week. The Bucs are in first place in their division and 6-2 is their best record EVER at the halfway point. So there is a lot to be grateful for. The NFL season is long and grueling but the Bucs have managed to avoid any season-ending injuries. Still, they have been stressed and stretched by game missing injuries. The returning secondary Sean Murphy-Bunting, Calton Davis, Antoine Whitfield, Jamal Dean was wiped out by the 4th game. Important cogs Lavonte David and Jason Pierre Paul were out injured for a couple of games. On offense Giovanni Bernard, Antonio Brown and Rob Gronkowski have all missed games. But with a bye week in the mix, most of those will be coming back healthy enough to contribute.
So Bucs nation. Let us be grateful for the improving health of those injured players. Let us be hopeful for the continued good health of players who haven’t missed games. Let us be grateful for the health and success of Bruce Arians and the coaching staff. For the health and success of Jason Licht and the front office. For the health and success of the Glazer family who have made this whole experience possible. May all of you enjoy and grow through the fan experience. Yet be grateful for your OWN mental, physical, and spiritual health. No matter where you are at, seek to improve all three. Your health and success are just as important as the teams. Give out goodwill and you will get goodwill returned. Give to life and life will give to you.
Today I am grateful for all of you that are fans of the Buccaneer Buckaroos. Go out and enjoy the day. Leave what you are thankful for in the comments section.
