A Tale of Two Teams; Washington vs Tampa Bay Preview

Never has there been a more un-even matchup. The Washington Football Team and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers face each other tomorrow (Sunday) and bettors all across the world aren’t even going to betting on this game because the payout is so low. I mean you have a team that has dominated the entire season, against a team that is dwelling in the bottom of a cellar known as the NFC East.

The Washington Football Team hasn’t been relevant since RGIII was the new “Michael Vick” of the NFL. It was a shame to see him fall and get injured. One; because I loved his playing style and how he emulated Michael Vick. Two; because the Washington Football Team had now lost its NFL relevancy. That’s not me being mean; that is just facts.

Tomorrow might be a blow-out for the Buccaneers, but I’m having trouble believing that. In the past couple of games, the defense has been slacking hard, getting penalties that are greatly hurting our chances of putting games away early. Also, we have a boat-load of injuries affecting our all-star lineup.

There is a saying; “No one is as dangerous as the man who has nothing to lose”. Washington is that man. They’re not making the playoffs, they’re horrible, but this might just work to their advantage. When you have nothing to lose, you’re free to do whatever you want. I don’t mean to get too philosophical, but as Brad Pitt’s character Tyler Durden says in “Fight Club”; it’s only once we’ve lost everything, that we are free to do anything”.

This entirely capsulate where the Washington Football Team is right now. With nothing to play for, they have every reason to go out and try new things. If you are a team planning on playing them, that is scary. When a team is unpredictable, there is no “real way” to prepare; you kind of just fly by the seat of your pants.

Look, I’m not saying that Washington is going to win; I severely doubt it. All I’m saying is that this game may turn out to be more interesting than people think. Just look at the NFL last week; it was the first time in one weekend, during the NFL’s entire history, that five upsets occurred in the same weekend. If we could learn one thing from what happened; it is that anything is possible.

The Giants came away with a huge upset last week

If you plan on plopping yourself in front of the couch tomorrow to catch some football action, you may just want to tune into this game. Bad teams (like Washington and the Giants) get some games where they wake up and play better than they are. This might be one of those games. I’m predicting that the score will be 33-29 Bucs.

What do you think the score will be? Let me know in the comments below!
