Brady or Belichick emotionally exploded

The summer will soon turn to fall and football will dominate the sports conversation. In New England, gone are the euphoric days of Tom Brady and the Patriots Dynasty. With Brady gone are the days of  New England contending for the Super Bowl gone also. With Brady, New England was always penciled in as a favorite. It was a given, that, with Brady, the Patriots would be in contention. Not just for the playoffs, but for the Super Bowl. But that thought and feeling left for years ago. When Bill Belichick pushed Tom Brady out of the door. Think about that. Any logical thought of New England Patriots as contenders disappeared the day Belichick refused to offer Tom Brady a contract. Yes, a contract, any contract. Not even a bottom of the basement contract which Brady always signed and would have signed again. In the three years since Belichick  forced the G.O.A.T out the door for Cam Newton. Then spending over 300 million dollars in free agency. (300 million acquiring free agents when he refused to pay Brady 25 million while Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson were getting 50 million). The New England Patriots are just 500 team. 25 wins, 25 loses. This is a Bill Belichick drafted team. A team full of  Bill Belichick expensive Free agents hand picked  by Belichick. A coaching staff hand picked by Bill Belichick. Bill even has people in the media and social platforms to run interference and discredit anyone who disagrees with him. Owner Robert Kraft is owner in signing his name upon the checks ONLY, This is a Belichick run operation from top to bottom and they are lucky to be 500. One playoff entry. No playoff wins.

No one in the history of the NFL can recall such a momentous, unforced, uncalled for, stupid decision. In hindsight Belichick should have been fired the very day Brady became a free agent. Josh McDaniel, now the Las Vegas head coach, should have replaced him. Brady should have recontacted and brought back so the glory days could have continued. But that didn’t happen. Brady went to Tampa Bay and they went to the playoffs 3 straight years and won a Lombardi Trophy.

Another season lies ahead for Bill Belichick. How will this playout. Will The Patriots make it into the playoffs and win games? What happens if they don’t. The only way Bill Belichick can gain a measure of respect is if the Patriots go all the way and win a Super Bowl or at least make it into the Super Bowl. If they don’t Bill Belichick is a bust, a bum. An egotistical lying misanthropist who actually lost more Super Bowls for New England than he won. The Brady blunder was not his 1st. On no. The Deion Branch botch up, The Antonio Brown blunder, The Malcolm Butler blight, The Reche Caldwell calamity,  The Rob Gronkowski gaffe, The Stephon Gilmore goofup , The Albert Haynesworth horror, The Ted Johnson jack over, Stephan Neal niggling , The Darelle Revis rebuff. The Assante Samuels satire, The Nate Solder sordidness, The Richard Seymour sell out. Just to name a few. But there was Brady to pull him out of the fire by winning, winning and winning some more. Brady, taking less money. Brady winning with less talent. Brady winning despite Belichicks gaffes and miscues. But with Brady gone the walls are closing in on Bill Belichick. The New England Patriots are looking at another 500 season. No one is picking the Patriots to make it into the playoffs, much less going to and winning the Super Bowl.

Was it Brady  or Belichick that made New England a dynasty. Four years ago that was the question that permeated the national media. The answer seems obvious even to the most diehard Belichick sycophant now.  But there are still some that insist Belichick needs more time. After forcing one of the games best QB out the door for no reason. After subjecting the team and their fans to unnecessary losing. Belichick is a 500 coach who needs more time

Really?  What do you think?
