-‘Be not afraid of greatness, Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them’ William Shakespeare, Twelfth Night-
Amazingly, on a team that has the greatest QB of all time, Tom Brady, as its quarterback, the greatest tight end duo in NFL history in Rob Gronkowski and O.J. Howard as well as a pretty good backup tight end in Cameron Brate to boot, a perennial 1000 yard receiver in Mike Evans, a probable HOF in Antonio Brown, lightning in a bottle with Chris Goodwin, as well as “Mr. long-ball” Scotty Miller you are telling me the most important offensive weapon on the team is Leonard Fournette?. Why? Because the running game sets up the passing game. All of those passing weapons are going to be tightly covered until you can run the ball. Now, this is no slight to Ronald Jones who is a 100% give-all running back. He runs hard, is shifty and elusive. A guy who is tough, durable, steady, and will be sorely needed in the rotation. The guy who is going to be depended upon to make the Tampa Bay Buccaneers clock tick is the 2017 4th pick of the 1st round, Lenny Fournette.
Tampa Bay does not need Fournette to rush for one thousand spectacular yards. Rojo and 2nd-year man Ke’Shawn Vaughn are there to assist in gashing the opposing team’s defense. They don’t even need him to catch balls out of the backfield for 500 or more yards. Special new-edition Giovani Bernard is in town to do help out in that department. They just need him to be Lenny Fournette when he does run or catch the ball or otherwise stated: to be Mr. Dynamite bringing the TNT. Fournette can run and/or catch out of the backfield better than anyone on the team. Leonard Joseph Fournette needs to remember that on a team full of all pros and HOF’ers. He is THAT guy.
Also, the Mighty Buck wants to give Fournette a special shoutout on the hosting of his 3rd annual free football camp for kids. Camps like these give kids a different outlook on life. From the parent(s) taking the time out to get their child there. To the people involved in making it happen. The child can feel the love. It makes a difference. Thank you, Playoff Lenny.
