Ponce DeLeon Brady

Ponce DeLeon was a Spanish conquistador who came to America supposedly in the  search of the Fountain Of Youth. In March 1513, Ponce de León set sail from Spain with three ships. According to early historians, he anchored off the eastern coast of Florida on April 2 and came ashore a day later, choosing the name “La Florida” in part because it was the Easter season (Pascua Florida in Spanish). Thus he founded Florida. But he did not find the Fountain of Youth.

Tom Brady on the other hand has come to Florida and from all appearances HAS found the Fountain of Youth. He looks younger than he did 10 years ago. He looks a lot happier. Has finding the ‘Fountain of Youth’ in Florida made him happier. Or has finding happiness in Florida become the ‘Fountain of Youth’ for him. Just look at the picture he tweeted from the HOF. . Tom looks 29 and Peyton looks 45

It is hard to argue with success. Winning the super Bowl at 43 years old and speculation of repeating at 44 are accomplishments no one else has achieved. One thing is for sure. The NFL is a demanding, physical and tough league to play in. One’s body is going to be pushed and punished. It is hard enough for a 20 something year old to play in the NFL. Nearly impossible for 30 somethings. Unimaginable for 40 somethings. Until Tom Brady that is.

Here’s hoping that whatever he is doing keeps him healthy this year. If he is healthy. I am sure we will marvel at the results
