REFLECTIONS

If it is Saturday and 12noon. It is time for Reflections of the week.

Reflections of the week are usually about BaseBall, Basketball, Boxing, Football, Hockey, or Wrestling. We like to keep it fit, fresh and funny. But we have to reflect upon life also. While going through my YouTube progressions of Kevin Samuels and Vlad TV.  I came upon one Charleston White. Charleston is an interesting character on many levels. He is uncouth, uncultured, and unrefined. Which is a polite way of saying his language sucks.  But he is on point on many issues that he addresses.

In the video I came across Charleston was detailing life as a gang member. How it glorified theft, murder, racism, and violence. As a thought process and as objectives to attain in gang life. White noted that after all the drug dealing, robbing and killing are over. If the big bad gang member has managed to survive past age 35. He is either living with his mother or in prison and more than likely hooked on drugs. Shells of men haunted by ghosts of the past. Thug life has no future and a very limited present. Earlier this year Monster Cody, a celebrated former LA gang member, had died homeless. His book, The Making of a Monster, was a sad indictment on gang life. A life that was neither empowering, nurturing, stable or uplifting. But a life that was filled with anger, fear, instability, and violence. What was especially noticeable in the book was the ‘black’ on ‘black’ hate. No one and nothing in the ‘black’ community was off-limits to defilement or dehumanization. Since that book was published in the 1990s gangs and gang mentality have spread into cities beyond California. Into the rest of America. Jay-Z made millions of dollars claiming the N-word was empowering. Yet everyone gang member dead or alive has used it to denigrate and dehumanize one another. So that they are not killing human beings, but something less than human in their minds.

Charleston White lives in Dallas, Texas and the gangs have spread there. He was born into the ‘black’ on ‘black’ hate that defines gang life. Despite threats to his life. White is courageously and vehemently denouncing the gang experience on-air and on camera. He correctly asserts that these gangs kill ‘black’ communities. They do it with fear, intimidation, and violence. It pressures the young to conform or be destroyed. It stifles mobility and discourages creativity. White has boldly assessed that gangs are a mental and physical blight upon the community. Whole areas in many cities, all in the ‘black’ parts of town are akin to a war zone,s. People are assaulted, beaten, robbed, and shot daily. White states that every member of a ‘gang’ should be locked up or deported and he is right. The black communities in America are not ravaged by white cops or white nationalists. They are decimated, destroyed, and devastated by ‘black’ gangs. Charleston White is no rocket scientist. But it doesn’t take Einstein-like intelligence to see the obvious. Charleston White has guts. He has cajones the size of Mt. Everest and that has him marked for death. These gangs that he is denouncing have put a bounty out on him. Yes. Right here in America, this is occurring. Charleston White, in his ineloquent manner, is saying what NO black politician dares to say. What the mainstream media refuses to elucidate. Gangs are not the solution to death, drugs, and violence in the ‘black’ communities. They are the main source of the problem. Kudos to Mr. Charleston White. Thank you for making a difference. Good luck. God Bless.

{Derogatory terminology brings forth negative results. Thus the N-word is the actuator and continuance of ‘black’ on ‘black’ hate.  It is my hope that Mr. Charleston White, on his continued journey, comes to understand the power of words}
