Who Will Be The Bucs Best Receiver This Season?

With the amount of depth the Buccaneers hold at the Wide Receiver position, it would be a very hard task to pinpoint who exactly will be the best out of the receiving corps. I mean, it is kind of ridiculous when you have names such as Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Antonio Brown lining up to catch passes from none other than Tom Brady.

Evans is arguably the most talented of the group. With his precise route running and soft hands, he just always seems to make the catch, even when he has defenders draped on him like curtains. The Galveston, Texas native is more known for his ability for Yards at Catch s compared to Yards after Catch.

This is where things may get hazy for Evans. Arguably the best in the NFL (along with DeAndre Hopkins and Larry Fitzgerald) at solely catching the ball, Evans could still improve on his ability to rack up the yards after he catches the ball.

That being said, this shouldn’t detract from the fact that Evans is going to be the best receiver this year (in my opinion). He just has too much talent and skill to say otherwise.

Then we move onto Chris Godwin, who can simply ball. He is an endzone favorite, consistently getting open in the red zone and allowing his quarterbacks to hit him on the run. Godwin is still only 25 years old, meaning he still has room to grow and further his potential.

The only knock on this man’s game is that he is not the best downfield threat. If he can work on his speed up the field, and his ability to stray from the cornerbacks down the field, then he’ll have added another tool to his belt and become virtually unstoppable.

Lastly, we have Antonio Brown. What can I say? The best receiver of the 2010s, Brown oozes talent. He’s had a rough past couple of years, but last year seemed to be a reintroduction to the game. I still think this next season will be a re-coming out party for Brown.

In all honesty, I think he will get the most TDs on this Tampa Bay Team. He has the elusiveness, speed, ability to catch the ball anywhere it is placed, and the will to make the play happen. For those reasons, I am taking Brown as having the most TDs next season. The man can play!
