A couple of days ago Ndamakong Suh, a big wheel cog in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense, arm-wrestled Billionaire Warren Buffet. It was a wrap. Suh put Buffy down for the count. Oh… my bad. Suh LOST. Yet we all know it was all in good faith and fun. Ndamakong Suh took to his Twitter account last week to expound upon his relationship with Warren Buffet. It was interesting and insightful. Yet it didn’t make the social hullabaloo. When a ‘black’ athlete financially and structurally gives back to the community and the world it is often ignored. Most media outlets want to wrap every ‘black” athlete into an ‘activist’ role or they have no use for them. They want to use and discard. What you do speaks volumes over what is said. What Suh is doing is more important than 15 minutes of fame he would be used for. Money is color blind. Suh is showing that green is the new high and it has nothing to do with grass.
