Your reigning, defending Super Bowl Champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers are 5-1 and may go 6-1. This has NEVER EVER happened before in BucDom. One would think that the homes and streets of Tampa Bay fans would be happy and jubilant with expectation. NOPE. That loser, something is going to go wrong, mentality is hard to tuck away. Many Buc fans live in fret and worry. Demons and gremlins are seen everywhere. Even in the hapless Chicago Bears. Let’s examine the flaws in the fear.
In 2017 the Chicago Bears had a GM that traded the 3rd pick of the 1st round in and 3 other picks in that draft to the San Francisco 49ers. Just to switch places with them and move up one spot to #2 in the draft. Just think about that for a moment. Four players to move up ONE spot. Then factor in that he did this to get Mitchell Trubisky. Who was released after 4 dismal seasons. If that is not bewildering enough. In picking Trubisky at #2, he passed up on Patrick Mahomes and Desean Watson. If that wasn’t bad enough this GM also hired Matt Nagy. Nagy has been so bad that even non-Bears fans are demanding that he be fired out of sympathy to the Bears. We can all agree that those are pretty egregious acts of stupidity. But there is another that tops those. That same guy Ryan Pace, is STILL the GM of the Bears. How’s that for motivation to improve. This type of organizational ineptitude carries onto the field. Da Bears were 8-8 last season and they won’t even be that good this season. With an organization in this much disarray. The Buccaneers secondary looks like the Rock of Gilbraltar in contrast.
The game will be at Raymond James stadium and looks to be a good time for all. Why? Because in congruence with the incompetence of the front office and coaching staff. The bears are starting a rookie QB. Justin Fields. The poor guy has to face a pretty good defense licking their chops at the opportunity of padding their stats on him. So enjoy it Buc fans. Pull the comforter from over your heads. Look around. This isn’t a Friday the 13th movie. Jason ain’t around the corner with a hatchet. It’s a new day boys and girls. Get out of the shadows. Go outside and smell the roses. Wear your Bucs accessories with pride and the expectation of winning. Whether it’s black, orange, red, or white. Jerseys, hats, pants, or tights. Take a deep breath and relax a little. Laugh and chuckle.

Talking about the players, the coaches, the fans, even the city. They ain’t talking about Miami unless they want to throw up. They ain’t talking about Jacksonville unless they are bored. Make no mistake about it. The Buccaneers of Tampa Bay spells winning football in FLA. This is where you always wanted to be Buc fans. In front. The lead dog with everyone else chasing.
