The cream of the Eastern European

There is an astonishing phenomenon not being discussed in the sports world. It has too many taboos and uncharted waters. It burns no matter which way you touch it. But here at AGSN we delight in the face of fright. Slavic athletes from Eastern European Countries have dominated the sports world like no others over the last 20 years.  Slavs, from which the word slaves come from, have ascended to the hierarchy in all areas of the sports world. Novak Djokovic reigns supreme in the sport of tennis. He has dominated the sport over the last ten years. He has the most single men’s s titles in the history of tennis. Based upon that alone he could be considered as the greatest male tennis player of all time. The women’s side of tennis is dominated by Eastern Europeans like Simone Halep, Elena Rybakina, Inga Swiatek and Aryna Sabalenka.

In boxing the Klitchko Brothers locked down the world of heavy boxing on lockdown for well over a decade. Bertebebe, Bivol and Kovalav have dominated the light heavy crowns. Kosta Tszyu crushed the lower weight division of boxing. 

In Hockey Slavic players like Sergui Federov, Jaromir Jagr, Nikita Kruserov, Evgeni Malkin, Alexander Ovechkin and others have dominated the NHL and European hockey scenes for the last 30 years. 

In NBA basketball the best player is Nikola Jokic. Winner of the NBA’s MVP two years in a row and it should have been three. Also in the NBA Luca Doncic, Kristaps Porzingis, Domitas Sabonis, Ivica Zubac and others. All of them are top players. Further research shows there have been hundreds of Eastern European basketballers to play in the NBA. In addition their national teams are always at the top in the olympics. 

Eastern European athletes have the most recognizable and sought after athletes in the world. Without demonstrations, fanfare or protests, There are no stories on their auspicious beginnings,  tumultuous childhoods or unstable surroundings. They have survived slavery, numerous wars and ethnic bias. But they have used these as motivation to endure and excel rather than complain and capitulate. They have accomplished the remarkable and are a testament to perseverance and their adherence to the religion that binds and propels them forward. Christianity. The majority of Eastern Europeans are practicing Christians. They have internal stability amidst an unstable world. As western Europe and America struggle with their Christian identity and roots. Eastern Europe does not. Maybe the West should look east for answers. They are producing champions without a pause.
